Hey, my name is Macy Raymond

As an artist, I'm concerned with creating ambivalent feelings within my work. I tend to portray a push and pull of contradictory emotions, such as affection and hesitation, intimacy and apprehension, and warmth and cold. I attempt to achieve this through figurative work, especially through painting portraits and hands. I strive for my work to exude a quiet contemplation of stagnant moments that last a second too long.

Macy is a recent Bowling Green State University graduate, where she achieved her Bachelor of Arts. There, she specialized in painting and drawing, with a specific focus in oil painting.
